You can help! Your donation to the Hawaii Athletes in Action Foundation ensures that hundreds of low income at-risk children in the West Oahu Area that covers the communities of Nanakuli, Maili, Waianae, Makaha, Ewa Plains & Kapolei become productive citizens by providing a long term program of academic enrichment, mentoring & cultural enrichment with an assured opportunity for higher education.

How Your Donation Will Help:

Planned Giving
Through The HAIA FOUNDATION's planned giving program, supporters can bequeath a charitable donation through their will's and trusts.

Bequests
Our supporters can make charitable gifts by naming "HAIA FOUNDATION" as a beneficiary in their will.

Life Insurance Gifts
Donors can make a gift of an existing life insurance policy or purchase one in the name of the "HAIA FOUNDATION". By naming the organization as the owner and beneficiary of the policy, you'll receive an income tax deduction for the cash surrender value of the existing policy at the time of the gift. Also, as you continue to pay premiums of the policy, each payment is a tax deductible charitable contribution.

Letter of Intent
This indicates that youlan to establish an endowment fund through a bequest in your will. Although a Letter of Intent is non binding, it indicates a personal commitment to the "HAIA FOUNDATION.

Gifts of Appreciated Assets
Supporters can donate appreciated assets (stocks, bonds and real estate) and can save on capital gains while also receiving a charitable contribution.

Charitable Gift Annuity
You can contribute property, cash or securities of more than $5000 and they will be exchanged for a fix stream of income during your lifetime. Your payments are guaranteed and you'll receive an immediate income tax donation. After paying lifetime income to you (and your spouse, if you choose), the remaining principal of the annuity adds to the permanent endowment of the " HAIA FOUNDATION".

Sponsor
A Sponsor is an individual or small group of donors who make a long term personal and financial commitment to the Class of Youth that he or she "adopts". A Sponsor provides or raises the funds necessary to run the program over its 10 to 14 year duration. Even more important is the personal commitment a sponsor makes to every Youth in the project to support their efforts to finish school and follow their dreams of educationm employment and family.
